About Raj .

Raj was born and grew up in Los Angeles, California. He graduated from La Cañada High School in 2007. He earned a Bachelor's degree in finance from the University of San Diego, in a city he adored and would visited often.

His kindness, generosity, and sense of duty to those less fortunate, traveled with him. As a teenager he journeyed to East Africa with his mother and six members of his church, where he donated soccer gear that he had collected from local teams in California. In the summer of 2021, he purchased a farm, called Goshen, in rural Zambia.

He lived a life of service to others. He’d give the shirt off his back if it’s all he had. His love and kindness toward others grew out of his love for the family who raised him. Raj adored his family.

He flew his father to Austin every year to watch Formula 1 races. He was at his happiest eating his mom’s food, and she was his favorite dance partner at weddings and parties.

Raj was an entrepreneur and helped found inKind with his brother. The financial technology company is an enduring legacy of supporting small businesses, fostering community, and redefining how restaurant funding and loyalty work.

He was also a natural athlete, learning to roller skate at 2 years old, becoming a talented soccer player, snowboarder, hockey player and golfer. He loved baseball and basketball and would wake up at dawn to watch Chelsea FC matches.

The warmth of his presence lives on in memory, giving us solace in our time of sadness and grief.

Recording of Raj's Memorial Service

We are very grateful to the team at Christian Assembly for helping us put together a memorial service for him that conveyed how loved and special he was. Their audio/visual team were able to record the memorial, we encourage everyone to spend a few minutes watching a part of it, so you can get a better understanding of the person he was.
